Chet grew up in St. George, Utah and graduated from Dixie High School. After serving a church mission in Perth, Australia he graduated from Dixie College with a Bachelor's degree and then went on to Weber State University and received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. Chet sponsored himself and graduated from the Utah Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST). He worked for the Washington County Sheriff's Office as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol Sergeant for a total of 22 years. After retiring from Law Enforcement he started his own business for the last couple of years. He has three children and enjoys hunting, fishing, rodeo, and horseback riding.
